My Netbook Reflection.

This year I am a year 7 at Pt England School and I have had my Netbook for about 3 years. My positive thing is that I am very pleased to have netbooks because for me it is much easier to do my subject in school. The most easiest subject for me to do in my netbook is writing because it is much faster to type rather than writing in a book and using a pencil for hours and hours.

My netbook has really helped me for my learning. I do my writing, maths and reading on my little device. I have become a better speller and have improved in my maths, but still improving in my reading. It has helped me alot because of the sites on the net that I can go on like maths whizz, xtramaths and studyladder. Another thing is that I can go onto the net and do some research if I need a piece of information to help me.

I would never go back to paper and pencil old school style. The reason why I would not go back to paper and pencil because it is boring writing for hours and it doesn’t have an auto speller to correct my spelling if it wrong, and it much easier for the teachers because they could just go on the teachers dashboard to look at your work and what have you improved instead of handing in the writing books.

Mt Tongariro Eruption.

It was reported by scientist that they believed Mt Ruapehu was very active to erupt, However it appeared that near the Central North Island of New zealand, Mt Tongariro erupted but it didn’t last for a period of time until it was pronounced calm.

It was minutes away till 1:30 that Mt Tongariro had very largely bursted with such massive ashes claiming the Western Side in big DANGER. It was a miracle noticing there were no injuries, as for a group of schoolkids from Nelson Primary running for their lives as they were taking a hike up Mt Tongariro.

Most people around the Western Side near Mt Tongariro were very shocked because there were no warning with the eruption of Mt Tongariro. There was an huge ash plume shooting in the air for about three kilometres into the sky.

RWC Final 2011.

Rugby World Cup Final 2011!! Who would thought these 2 top rugby teams would make it to the Grand Final by having a long journey against 20 other teams. They were going to battle for the shiny golden cup... the William Webb Elise. This game was located in a Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand called Eden Park. Do you have any ideas who were the 2 teams in the Grand? Well let me tell you.... it was the hard breaking team France, and the mighty All Blacks.

The New Zealand side were ready to sing their National Anthem to the crowd and to the whole country of NZ. They were standing tall and proud because they wanted to do it for their supporters and for their family. It was a beautiful National Anthem because the All Blacks fans were singing together with the team. After a few minutes it was time for France to sing their National Anthem and they did the same thing the All Blacks did.

It was time for one of the best event of the games. Do you know what this event this is? It is called the HAKA and the All Blacks were going to perform their haka called the Kappa O Pango. As they were performing it, they did it with pride and with confidant and I think the best player that performed the haka best was Piri Weepu. While the All Blacks were doing the haka the French team were holding hands and moving up on the All Blacks. I thought what they were doing was a tradition thing.

The crowd was going WILD because it was time for the best thing the fans came to watch at Eden Park, the kick off. It was the All Blacks job to start off the Grand Final of RWC 2011, and it was Arron Cruden that had to kick off. As they kicked it the French team were giving it all they had because they wanted to travel home with the golden cup. It was a battle to the end against these two awesome rugby team that just wanted 1 thing they came after.

Suddenly the Stadium was just to wild because on the 15 minute the prop from the All Blacks Tony Woodcock just scored against the French team. They got that try by a tremendous line out from Kevin Mealamu just threw to Brand Thorn and from Thorn to Woodcock.

1 minute remaining the All Blacks fans were just starting to nail bite because they all thought the mighty AB were going to lose. As the time started to lesser and lesser the All Blacks fans were cheering because they knew New Zealand is going to take this comp out. As the final whistle blew the All Blacks were just happy and amazed that they won the cup.

Who wouldn't have thought the All Blacks had won by just 1 point.

France v Tonga.

There was a awesome clash against Tonga and France on the 1st of October in the 2011 Rugby World Cup and was located in Wellington. Did you watch this clash? Well let me tell you I really enjoyed watching it with my friends.

As the two teams came walking through the tunnel they were prepared to sing their National Anthem. When Tonga was singing their National Anthem they were standing tall and proud because they wanted to do it for their country and for their supporters. After a few minutes it was time for France to sing their National Anthem. As they were singing it they did the same thing as Tonga did, standing tall and proud, and doing it for their supporter, and for their country.

It was time for one of the best thing of the game, and Tonga were getting ready to perform it with pride. Do you have any ideas what the Tongan team were going to do? Well they were going to do the HAKA!! and the Tongan haka is called the Sipi Tau. The hooker for Tonga Aleki Lutui was the person who was leading the Sipi Tau. When it was time for them to do the actions the Tongan supporters were going loud and wild. The players were showing confidant and pride as they were doing the haka.

As the France team were standing in their position their first five were getting ready to kick off because the game was about to start. When they kicked it off the Tongan players were running so hard to try scoring a try but the French defence was on fire. It was a exciting match watching France and Tonga to see which team was going to score first. It was a battle to the end against these two awesome teams.

n the 30th minute the first five for Tonga Kurt Morath kicked it to the right side winger Sukanaivalu Hufanga and he catches the ball and went for the try. While Hufanger was going for the try there was a France player Julien Bonnaire ready to tackle Him but sadly he missed the tackle and the Hufanger was on his way to score in the corner. When the winger got that try the supporters were very happy and the coach as well.

On the 79 minutes the forward pack for France just got over the line, but it was to late because Tonga was still leading. When the game was finish Tonga got the victory over France 19 - 14 and the coach was very proud of them because Tonga beat France in Rugby World Cup history.

I didn't think Tonga will win over France.

Samoa's Story Behind The Flag.

Have you ever wondered about the story behind the Samoan flag, I am going to explain it to you about it. The red represents courage. The blue stands for freedom and the white represents purity. The stars on the Samoan flag symbolize the moonlight, and the colours date back to the 19th century. The stars represents 5 different places and that is Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta and Epsilon.

Badminton Story..

BADMINTON!, a game to be interested in!! Have you ever played Badminton before? well let me tell you, you can enjoy badminton with your friends or family.
Badminton is always about skills and having fun. Having to know all the skills of badminton is much easier for you to play. One of the main trick hits for the game is are backhand and a forehand. You can only use a backhand when the shuttle is on the left side, and a forehand is when you hit the shuttle on the right side.
Ready to test our badminton skills knowledge I was excited because I couldn't wait to play. When I was ready to practise I said to Starford that I could do it. As soon as I tried to hit the shuttle I missed and I was starting to struggle, struggle, struggle, struggle.
It was time for us to play the real game of badminton. We had to divied up into two even teams so we can have a brilliant game. As soon as I got on the courts my partner was Crusader and he was really talented. As my partner served the shuttle Crusader and I were waiting for our oppoinment Kitiona and Ahsin to hit it back to us. Waiting for the shuttle as it showed up in the air I shouted “mine” as I ran to hit it. I missed that shot because I thought the shuttle was coming towards my racket but it was coming on the side of me, it was time for me to do a backhand hit but I was to late and to slow to hit it so I walked away from the courts and went to the back of the line because I was out.
My goal was to try to hit the shuttle on time. I didn’t achieve my goal but I think next time I can achieve it. Do you have a goal for badminton?

I hope I could be a master badminton player next time!!

New Zealand vs Tonga.

Tonight there is going to be a exciting ceremony in Eden Park for the opening of the World Cup. After the opening there is going to be a rugby game and it is going to be interesting because Tonga and New Zealand is going to battle against each other. If you haven’t been to a rugby ceremony I think you a missing out on a huge opportunity of going there.

I can’t wait until the game because supporting my team is one of my favourite things. I re am prepared to watch the game with my friends and family and support Tonga. I hope they can have a fun time playing rugby and playing fair. Are you ready to support your team?

My favourite player that plays for Tonga is Hufanga because he is so talented. The position he plays in center and he plays very good in that standing. I like him because he is always staying focus on the game. The exciting thing of watching this guy play is when he does interception. Do you have a favourite player for each team?

I hope I could just be like Hufanga!!!

Story Behind The Argentina Flag.

Just imagine how nice it would be spending your time in the beautiful place of Argentina. I am going to tell you about the story behind their flag. The sun means the Sun of May, that is to say the bright sun in the sky.The blue lines represents parting to reveal the white clouds in the air. Parting to reveal the white clouds sounds interesting to me because it reminds me I would enjoy swimming in the wonderful calm water at the beach in Summer time.

Kingston, Samuela, Rugby Leauge Story.

As we arrived at the courts outside the office, we were excited because two of the junior Warriors came to teach us some basic skills of rugby league. The first thing they did was to introduce their names to us. One of the players were called Siua and the other called Saliva.
After they told us their names we were ready to play a very awesome game called ball Tiggy. We had to spit into two different even teams so we could have a brilliant game. The teams were blue and green, do you think which team we were in? The team we were in was blue, if you guess blue you a absolutely correct!!
Force back was the next game we played. I didn’t understand what game we were playing because they called it kick tennis and I was confused. Siua explain how to play kick tennis so I thought the we are going to play is Force back. As we played force back James and I really enjoyed playing it.
I wish the Junior Warriors could come back again!!!!

Canada Day Celebration..

Today is a spacial day for Mr Barks and Mrs Barks because for their country it is Canada day. It is a very important day because July the 1st, 1867 was the time that Canada became its own country. Today in Canada there is going to be a huge celebration about Canada day and I think it’s going to be awesome. The name Canada came from a Indian word called kanata and after that they started to call their country Canada and that became its name. Have you been to Canada? I haven’t, but learning about Canada and celebrating Canada is really cool because learning about it has been fun. The thing I like about Canada is learning about the wildlife. What is your favorite thing about Canada?
I wish we could learn more about the wonderful country called Canada!!!!

My Value Caring

Do you think you can see the value caring. That is the value I am studying this term.Do think you know what caring looks like?To me caring is helping people that really needs so much help..Is caring important to you?.I think caring is important because when you help people, it just a great thing to do.Do you think you have been caring to other people so far?.

To me I think that caring feels like it so happy because it helped someone that was hurt and he really needed such help.In a different way I think caring feels like, helping other people around your community.Caring helps us a lot because it helps us to succeed and that is really helpful.

I think that how caring sounds like is a bit tough but I am going to try my best because I think I can do it. Caring sounds like people cheering for other people because they were caring to each other around their community area.Caring for other people around your area that are really hurt is really helpful thing, because it helps them to success and that is very good.Do you want people to success.
